What is clinical Pilates?
Clinical Pilates is a series of exercises that focus on posture, core stability, control, flexibility and breathing to improve your function. This will help for daily activities as well as sporting activities to help you recover from injuries and prevent them, and to improve your performance.
Pilates techniques are at the heart of many of our corrective therapies and treatments for physiotherapy, meaning that Amanda is ideally qualified and experienced to teach you the most effective Pilates techniques.
You will be assessed to determine how your muscles are working and we will identify any weakness or over activity and why it is happening. This could be an old injury that has not fully recovered or due to a work posture. A bespoke programme of exercises will be taught to you. This can include a home exercise programme or involve regular 1:1 sessions to ensure that you do the movements correctly to maximise your progress.
We now have small Clinical Pilates classes, with a maximum of 10 people, available at Findon Village Hall, BN14 0TA.
